The owner of a previously classified dog who violates any provision of this division
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be subject to minimum fines of $250.00 for a
first offense and $500.00 for subsequent offenses.
(b)
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 4-8-29, an owner with a previous conviction for violation of
the classified dog provisions whose classified dog causes serious injury may be charged
with a felony.
