Regular meetings of the council shall be held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday
of each month. All regular meetings shall be held in the city hall chamber room. A
notice containing the foregoing information shall be posted and maintained in a conspicuous
place available to the general public at the regular meeting place of the council.
(b)
The mayor and council may reschedule the day, time and place of a regularly scheduled
meeting by a majority vote of the council when the meeting falls on a federal, state
or city holiday, as necessary due to force majeure and for special occasions and ceremonies,
as determined by the mayor and council and that of the public, provided that such
change is advertised or posted as set forth herein. In addition, notice of such change
or cancellation shall be placed in a prominent place at the city hall. If the change
or cancellation is the result of an emergency or other unforeseen circumstance, posted
notice of such change at city hall shall suffice.
