§ 10-314. Definition of floodplain boundaries.

  • (a)

    Studied A zones, as identified in the FIS, shall be used to establish base flood elevations whenever available.

    (b)

    For all streams with a drainage area of 100 acres or greater, the future-conditions flood elevations shall be provided by the community development department. If future-conditions elevation data is not available from the community development department, then it shall be determined by a registered professional engineer using a method approved by FEMA and the community development department. See section 10-315 for further requirements.

    (c)

    The boundaries or limits of the floodplain are shown within 0.5 feet vertical accuracy on the development plan containing existing topographic information.
